New Zealand Grants Up to NZ$17.8 Million for Hydrogen Research

On 5 November, the Government announced a grant of up to NZ$17.8 million from the Regional Infrastructure Fund to accelerate research into the commercial viability of natural hydrogen resources in Southland. The work will assess whether domestic hydrogen resources can contribute to energy security and economic growth. This creates opportunities for energy researchers, engineering consultants and technology providers. HPC can support project research, technical partnerships and energy-sector business development.
